Step #1
Seat, gas tank, shelter and various trim that may receive damage is removed. Bike is carefully laid on it's side once all pieces are removed.
Here you can see bike is laid down and anything that may be effected by the weld process has been removed or taped off.
Step #2
Template provided by Honda for welder to mark grind points on the frame. specific angles and depth are measured to make sure correct amount of joint is repaired.
Primary grind is show above - also depth and profile are measured using the templates provided.
Step #3
Welding is under way - first one side than the bike is flipped over to the other side and it is than welded.
Lots of sparks and bare armed sunburn going on. Actually few sparks during the TIG welding process
Step #4 Finish up and weld inspections
Step #5
Weld and inspections over - Reassembly and on your way.
